I realize I'm not a little late....I'm A LOT late to this story, but I believe my take on it is still something I want to give.

As background, I suggest you read or watch the story of AJ McCarron & Starla Chapman if you don't know this story already, because I really don't want to regurgitate their story, which is an awesome one no less, but add my little tidbit on it.

Christianity, Ferguson, America & Me

Over the past couple of months, my world has been halted and turned into a nightmare by events that have taken place in my beloved Country.

From Mike Brown, Ezell Ford, Dillon Taylor, Charles Smith, John Crawford and Eric Garner, the blood of those who should still be alive have practically been screaming non-stop in my head....probably because of Twitter, but that's another story.

Throughout all of this, my biggest disappointment has been in the silence of those who seemingly have the power to change or at least call for substantial change in this country. The Christian Church.

New Atlanta....Liars Everywhere! (Black Men Beware) pt 1

So, I recently ran across the ill-conceived, and totally unfortunate...especially for Black women, TV show, New Atlanta on Bravo. If you haven't killed brain cells trying to be entertained by the lackluster performances of the show that attempts, I think, to make the ATL look like a shallow and insipid New Orleans...then don't bother. It's a reality show that would be better served to actually give their characters scripts than to let them try to come up with crap to say, because in all reality, the White characters end up looking like stand-up, respectable individuals that you would want to hang out with and chill with on the weekend, while the Black Triangle...well they just look a H-A-M.

It's been almost a year since I've last written on this Blog, and it never ceases to amaze me that this is still my most popular website that I have ever created.

Of course having a couple of entries titled "Is Being a Groupie Bad?" and "How to get with a Baller" didn't hurt...in fact I firmly believe folks are coming to my site by MISTAKE...oh well. Thank ya!! LOL.

Motivated by Fear

Being scared to lose, and wanting to win are two completely different things. Sometimes they produce the same results...but most of the times not.

It seems backwards that the two aren't completely in sync with each other right????

I mean if I'm scared to lose...I should really, really, really want to win....but that is soooo not the case.

Where Trust Lies

I believe I have spoken candidly about my non-existant love life...I mean yeah!! But the bigger story probably isn't even in the realm of guy and girl interaction but rather my tortoise like movements to actually trust another human being enough to allow them into my heart enough that they could easily hurt me with a glance.

Still Scared

I just got off of Facebook....why? Because two guys, who I dearly love, like brothers, were online...and instead of reaching out to them, I retreated like a coward.

I Am Ready For Love...?

I have to admit that yesterday, when I wrote the post about Tithing for a Husband, I was mad and frustrated at my sex for....everything. lol

It doesn't diminish, at least not in my eyes, what I wrote, but it does change something in me to see why I was so angry.

Tithing For a Husband....

I was watching BET's series The Game the other night...perhaps last week, when I noted a rather disturbing scene.

In it Melanie was writing her "weekly tithing wish" on the sizeable check that she was filling out to give to the Church that week. In her mind, if she tithed, and tithed big, then God would reward her with her wishes...like a Genie, or Santa.

I thouhgt it a sad scene until a friend of mine, *Kallie* related this story to me.

Is Being a Groupie bad???

On Valentine's Day I was looking up stats on this Blog and ran along this google search as being one that led someone to my site. I was saddened and then sightly bouyed by the fact that such searches even go on...because if there are those who are asking the question, then I definitely want to weigh in.

What really is there to say about an idea that I'd like to think was mine, that got put on Prime Time TV and made in the most horrible fashion possible....?? No really I'm looking for an answer here...honestly.

Jason Whitlock/ Tim Tebow...O Father Where Art Thou?

I'll admit it, I am drinking the Kool-Aid. I believe Tim Tebow to be one of the greatest and most needed sports stories in decades, if not ever. And not just because he too is a virgin :-D, but because he stands so steadfastly beside and for his beliefs in God, and has done so as long as I've personally known him to exist.
