Love and Football

What exactly do girls who love sports do when they have been letdown by their heroes in Game 7's?
They ponder their own love lives, or lack thereof using sports analogies.

And this is exactly what happened tonight while talking on the phone.

I am one angry little witch...really!

So, my Celtics lose, and I refuse to watch Sports Center, or anything on ESPN for like two days following the lose because my feelings are soooo hurt!! But I'm ok with the lose once I realize that the starting lineup from 2008 have still never lost a series...so I'm ok.

But, don't ya know, some non-basketball knowing men gotta open their mouths and piss me off.

Congrats Grads!

Yesterday at church, my pastor spoke to the recent grads about remaining upstanding citizens amidst the trash that they will face in college, grad school, and in the work place.

It got me to thinking about the supposed temptations of college that I managed to sidestep while there. The parties, alcohol, drugs, and of course sex. I mean I went to parties...when forced, and I drank, after I turned 21, and the rest I left for those who felt that they were equipped and ready for it.

"Why do I do it... Because if everyone expected the other guy to volunteer nobody would do it. For those before us so their service, lost friends, lost love, lost limbs and lives are not in vain. to ensure our very way of life... this privileged life lived by so few is preserved for those to come and those who I will call my brother when it's their turn to carry the torch and burden.

Soooo, what does that have to do with your love life????

I tend to write about sports on here, and I was going to write about my favorite subject of late, the NBA Finals, and how Kobe CHOKED last night, when my friend reminded me that this blog was supposed to be about my love life...or lack thereof.

So the NBA is looking for bloggers for their website, and someone thought I would be a great addition to their staff of "on the free" writers...I don't think so, though.

A game worth playing!!!

Sorry for the absence, I can't really blame it on anything besides being stunned into silence by the Lakers winning game 5 and 6. Boooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

But besides this minor setback, it was a great weekend. I actually figured out that a certain "road-dog" of mine, we'll call him Fido, wasn't an a**hole like I thought he was. In fact he he was just a misunderstood puppy LOL!!
